Our Beautiful Winter on the Isle of Skye, Scotland 2021 - Original Film "Beauty In The Winter Cold" This is an original short film I wrote and filmed on the Isle of Skye in Scotland's wild and rugged Highlands this winter. It showcases some of the beauty surrounding us in the wild, and often inhospitable and harsh island winter. Whilst at our small, old stone crofter's cottage (which we bought just before covid hit), my wife and I, our five kids, two dogs and two parrots (!) spend our spare time lovingly working on the cottage, also squeezing in some refreshing walks, taking in the magnificent landscape and sea views and ever changing light and weather conditions. Our favourite times of day are sunrise and sunset but the night skies can be mesmerising! All the while remotely juggling work for clients in our small digital media company. All the footage was filmed in the landscape immediately surrounding the cottage (except for a couple of shots at Storr Lochs and Bearreaig Bay a few miles up the road!) These crofts (highland farmlands) are where we often go for quiet walks with the kids and dogs enjoying the most magnificent views and dramatic landscape.
