RARE CASE OF SHOULDER - SUPRASCAPULAR NERVE ENTRAPMENT SYNDROME This patient presented to me with severe pain in the shoulder and weakness of shoulder muscle , being operated twice at other places with no improvement in the symptoms . After thorough examination and nerve conduction study , he was diagnosed to be suffering from rare condition called suprascapular nerve compression syndrome ( shoulder joint nerve weakness due to excessive pressure) I performed arthroscopy suprascapular nerve decompression by releasing the transverse scapular ligament release . Patient is relieved of the pain and recovered his strength .. Surgery was technically difficult since he was already operated twice on the same shoulder joint at other hospitals and blood vessels along with the nerve needed to be protected while releasing the ligament which was pressing the nerve .
