Besides the clinic in Lummen, we also recently completed the hospital in Mazy, near Namur. Tom Mariën blindly trusted our expertise, prompted by our past cooperation, which began in 2010. Our knowledge of equestrian infrastructure was coupled with Tom Mariën’s medical requirements. As a result, we learned a lot from each other, and a constructive synergy emerged. Which means that Altez Equestrian Group has now built up expertise in building equine clinics. The cooperation went to the extent that we even looked for a suitable location for the clinic in Mazy, considering accessibility, among other things. For Tom Mariën, it was important that we realised his dream, while he could continue to concentrate on his specialisation. Altez took charge of the integral project. From the search for a suitable location, through the permit procedure to the realisation and completion. To the point that Tom Mariën’s team was able to take possession of the key and was operational the very next day. Equitom’s unique concept is that it is enjoyable for staff and patients. Horses can recuperate and rehabilitate in comfort. Even the stalls are worthy of a 5* hotel room, with rubber walls, storage cupboards integrated in the stall fronts and slow feeders.
