Hey Fam, My good friend, Forrest and I took a trip up to the mountains in Oaxaca. San Jose Del Pacifico is a blink-and-you'd-miss-it town on the highway up to Oaxaca City that is famous among backpackers for magic mushrooms and temezcal. It's also where Carlos Bautistab has his studio and the original reason for the trip - getting my face tattoo'd. The trip was great, even if the road was so windy I almost puked 5 times. Carlos is a sweetheart and worth all the fame he is getting for his work. We stayed at Rancho Viejo, cabins up the road from the main town set along the ridge with a million dollar view in all directions. We also visited friends at Tierra de Borro, a sweet little cafe in neighboring town, San Sebastian Rio Hondo. Everything about the weekend experience was lovely. The food, the people, the views. I highly recommend this place.
