Caravan Park Sexten ranks among the best campsites in the Dolomites, open all year round. It offers guests around 300 well-maintained camping pitches, as well as the option to rent wooden chalet-style apartments, rooms, and glamping treehouses. In winter, the campsite is an excellent base for skiing at the 3 Zinnen – Sexten ski resort, while in summer it serves as a starting point for hiking and cycling tours in the surrounding mountains. The campsite is located near the towns of Sexten and Moos, about 15 km from the main Sillian–Toblach road. The access road to the campsite is wide and generally passable even in winter. From central Slovenia, it takes about 4 hours to reach the campsite by car. Caravan Park Sexten blends tradition with modernity. The camping pitches are well arranged, mostly on sandy ground. Comfort pitches include electricity (water only in summer), while Premium pitches offer electricity, water even in winter, drainage, and the option to connect to gas. If you have the right adapters, the campsite also provides gas cylinders. Electricity is charged according to consumption at €1 per kWh. The campsite features several heated sanitary facilities, with indoor dishwashing and laundry rooms. Private bathrooms are also available for rent. Near the reception, there is a camper stop area, also open year-round, where guests can use the campsite’s sanitary facilities. Dogs are welcome at the campsite, and there is even a dog shower. Accommodation options include glamping treehouses for 2 people, wooden chalets for 2, 3, or 5 people, as well as hotel rooms for 2–3 people and apartments for 2–4 people. Caravan Park Sexten is renowned for its extensive additional facilities, including a wellness center with a stylish bathing complex (a large indoor pool, a smaller outdoor section, a sandy beach for children, a relaxation room, two large jacuzzis, sun loungers, plus 9 different saunas, massages, and a fitness area). Various accommodation and wellness packages are also available. Children can enjoy playgrounds, a climbing wall, and an indoor playroom. The campsite also has a pizzeria and a restaurant. For skiers, there is a ski bus stop directly in front of the campsite (running every 20 minutes during the season), taking you to the cable car at Signaue, 2 km away. You can return by bus, or, in favorable snow conditions, ski back via the Ski Weg UNESCO trail to Kreuzberg Pass and then down the other side of the road to the campsite. Cross-country ski trails are prepared in Moos and further into the Fischleintal valley, accessible by ski bus from the campsite. There is also a long toboggan run near the Bad Moos – Rotwandwiesen gondola.
