Winter commuting by bike is full of contradictions. Some mornings it’s the best part of my day—quiet bike paths, low winter light, and the simple pleasure of moving through a city that’s otherwise stuck. Other mornings it’s layers, logistics, forgotten gloves, and a drivetrain that really wants to be washed. In this video, I ride through a few recent winter commutes to reflect on what I love and what I struggle with when cycling through winter: • freshly ploughed bike paths • sunrise and sunset rides • finding lines and flow through snow-covered streets • pedalling past backed-up traffic and empty bike racks • and the less romantic parts: prep, packing, and constant bike maintenance Winter commuting isn’t always easy—but for me, it’s grounding, absorbing, and quietly rewarding. Most days, it’s the best part of my routine. If you enjoy calm, unhurried rides and reflective cycling videos, you’re in the right place. Thanks for riding along. ☕ Support the channel If you’d like to support ad-light videos like this one, you can buy me a coffee here: 👉 Buy Me a Coffee buymeacoffee.com/pedallingthelongway
