Brace Brace | Dapayk live at Chemical plant

This time, Brace Brace Berlin took Dapayk to the top of a phosphates manufacturing plant near Berlin on a summer day. The plant stopped operating in the 50’s and the vast areal turned into a huge playground for lovers of industrial abandoned buildings like us. When we first discovered it years ago, we dreamed of filling this impressive but silent place with music. In this session, we contrasted the raw charme of the buildings with melodic and rich sounds live from Dapayk. Being active in the electronic music scene for more than 20 years, Dapayk was upon the early movers of melodic electronic music. His musical journey started with Drum ‘n’ Dass and transcendent into colourful techno music when founding his label Mo's Ferry in the late 90’s. For Brace Brace Berlin, the Berlin based lined up an impressive stack of gear. The centerpiece is an Elektron Octatrack, extended by analog sounds generators from Elektron Rytm, Make Noise Black and a Gold Shared Modular System. Not only to enjoy the scenic views when performing, Dapayk does not work with any Laptop for his live set.
