Setting up a Backlog Section Type With our Rally integration, you can connect your backlog to Stormboard. To connect to Rally, open the section menu and under “Type” select Rally Backlog. You can select your project, team, WIQL, and choose to turn the two-way sync between Stormboard and Rally on or off. Your Rally backlog will now appear in the section. Dragging issues from your backlog will automatically create sticky notes to help better visualize your planning. 2. Setting up a Plan Estimate Section Type You can convert any section of your template into a Plan Estimate section. You can set the number of estimates allowed in each section to help with your iteration planning and make sure your workload is manageable. The section will now recognize the number of estimates that are on each work item that you have added. As you can see, the second section of the template all of a sudden turned red, and that’s because we’ve defined that there is a capacity of six estimates for this iteration, and this is now more work than the team can handle. 3. Converting a Sticky Note into a Rally Work Item If you come up with new ideas during your planning session, you can create a new sticky note while in your Storm and then, with one click, convert it into a Rally Work Item. Set which project to assign it to, the work item type, the priority, and a work item description. The integration’s two-way sync means that every change you make in Stormboard is reflected in Rally, so this new Rally work item that you created in Stormboard is automatically now in Rally — no need to go into Rally and manually add it yourself!
