JANTA CURFEW AGAIN: Food forest turns into rain forest + Lhasa Apsos in lockdown

#JantaCurfew #GardenMaintenance #LhasaApsos It's time to hunker down again for us Wagholians in Pune City, with yet another Janta Curfew to break the chain of coronavirus - and while my gardener turned up at the right time for garden maintenance, the Lhasa Apsos are even more isolated and missing their long walks. During the six-day Janta Curfew in Wagholi, all shops were closed except for the medical stores, milk booths, and hospitals. I haven't yet stepped out since then but apparently many of the stores are still shut, which makes life difficult for people like my maid who can't store fresh produce beyond one day without a refrigerator. Every year, we sow vegetable seeds in the second week of the Monsoon which is around mid-June. This year though, none of my staff could come to work and we've received above-normal rainfall; for the first time in my seven years, the garden has been overrun by weeds and tall grasses! Thankfully, my gardener Nagesh, turned up on the day before the Curfew and managed to clean up my backyard despite the heavy rains hampering his work, and now we can at least move around the yard safely.
