Easy and quick Pinto beans in just 30 minutes. Seasoned canned Bush’s pinto beans flavored with bacon grease, chicken broth, crisp bacon, Spanish onion, poblano pepper, and cilantro. Easy and delicious alternative to spending hours cooking your beans from a bag. Enjoy! Shopping List: 16 ounce can of Bush’s Pinto Beans ¼ cup chicken broth 1 tbls. lime juice 4 strips of bacon (chopped) ½ small Spanish (yellow) onion ½ small poblano pepper ½ cup roughly chopped fresh cilantro 2 tsps. Kosher salt 1 tsp. course black pepper 11/4 cup fresh cilantro Directions: Drain and rinse the can of beans twice. Fry the bacon until crisp. Spoon onto a paper towel lined plate to drain, but leave the bacon grease in the skillet. Dice the onion and poblano pepper and add to the bacon grease in the skillet and sauté over medium heat until softened. Add the rinsed beans to the onions and peppers then season with kosher salt and course black pepper. Stir. Add the bacon, chicken broth, and lime juice. Stir and simmer 20 minutes until the juice thickens. Top with chopped cilantro and serve.
