🌿 *Ram’s Head Trail Hike | St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands* 🌿 In today’s vlog, I join 12 fellow members of the 340 Hikers as we explore the *Ram’s Head Trail* next to the beautiful *Salt Pond Bay* over on St. John. The weather was perfect—sunny and breezy, a nice surprise after rain was forecasted the day before. Unlike our last trip to St. John, where we didn’t spot any donkeys, this time we saw *three* along the way! 🫏 We also took a short detour to the Salt Pond and discovered a *newly installed plaque* honoring members of the *Akwamu tribe from Ghana**, who led the historic **1733 slave rebellion* on St. John—an uprising that successfully claimed the island for six months until French forces intervened. The hike rewarded us with breathtaking views, rich history, and unforgettable experiences. After returning to Salt Pond Bay, most of the group took a refreshing swim before heading back to St. Thomas on the car ferry. ✨ This was truly a memorable hike filled with nature, history, and community.
