Today’s Gospel follows the one proclaimed last week. This time, Jesus tells his disciples: “This is my commandment: love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.” He did lay down his life for his friends. He died on the cross not only for his friends, but also for everyone, reconciling all of us with the Father. He rose from the dead to bring us new life. Thank you Jesus for your love.
