At the Triveni Sangam, where Maa Ganga embraces Maa Yamuna and the mystical Maa Sarasvati whispers ancient secrets, a profound spiritual and scientific phenomenon unfolds, embodying the intersection of ancient wisdom and modernity. Beyond its cultural significance, the event invites exploration of astronomy, fluid dynamics, human behaviour, tradition, celestial influences, and the antibacterial properties of the waters at the confluence on immune health—topics deserving attention despite criticisms. The Kumbh Mela which is even mentioned in the Atharva Veda, links its origins to India's ancient astronomical expertise, long before Greek influence. The cultural legacy of martial akharas, responsible for crowd control, reflects the integration of tradition and science. The ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in 2025 will further merge technology with tradition, from real-time maps and AI waste management to cyber warriors ensuring a seamless and harmonious event. About The Speaker: Mrittunjoy Guha Majumdar is a youth scientist, writer, human rights activist, and student political leader. A Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University, he is currently conducting postdoctoral project on Quantum Entanglement at the Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge. Mrittunjoy was selected for the Young India Fellowship in 2015 and has worked with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. He is also a poet featured by the Poetry Foundation and a certified Hindustani classical singer.
