Footage released to Sixty Minutes shows footage that was recorded during Operation Gothic Serpent in Mogadishu back in 1993. This operation is better known as the Black Hawk Down incident. I would probably not be putting myself out on a limb by suggesting that an overwhelming majority of the people using Funker530 already know a good amount about Gothic Serpent, so I won't go overboard explaining the situation that happened there. If you're not very well informed on the situation however, I would highly recommend you check out the book Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War, and the movie Black Hawk Down, which actually doesn't do a terrible job of depicting the events that unfolded that day in 1993. This footage, which was originally released to Sixty Minutes, shows the initial insertion of the Delta Team onto the target of the operation. Then, it continues forward and shows other key-points of interest that occurred during the battle as well. This event single-handedly shaped the way we fight war in the 21st century.
