It’s an honor and privilege to have Bing in our show. A big part not only in the music scene but also in the cycling community. Bing Austria (real name Abraham Gomez Austria) is a Filipino musician, singer, and songwriter known for his work in the ska, reggae, funk, and soul music genres. He is a prominent figure in the Philippine music scene and has been involved with several bands throughout his career.  Key facts about Bing Austria: Early career: He started his musical journey in 1981, playing guitar for the punk rock band Brain Salad. Band involvement: He has been a member of several well-known Filipino bands: Tropical Depression: He played piano and organ for this reggae and world music band starting in 1989. Put3ska: He co-founded this influential ska band in 1993, and they won an Awit Award for Best World Music Recording. Juan Pablo Dream: In 2003, he joined this mod band as a singer. Flippin Soul Stompers: He is the vocalist for this soul band. Solo and other projects: In addition to his band work, he has released music under his own name and is involved with other projects like Bing & the Gundam Funk. Recent activity: He continues to perform and is often seen playing DJ sets featuring funk and soul music.
