Jim is a skilled luthier who has been doing these for decades. He did this conversion in 2015. It includes resetting the neck angle, re-topping with OLD Michigan grown maple, routing for humbuckers and placing the ABR-1 Bridge and tailpiece as well as applying a new nitro finish just like Gibson used in the 50s. The result is a much better playing instrument for modern needs VS the old trapeze tailpiece. Burst Conversions can be a bit controversial... but I will say - this thing is fantastic to play - especially with real-deal PAFs in it! Thank you Jim for letting me borrow this guitar for a video!
