Smart Boards Replace The Old White Board At Christ Church Cathedral School

VICTORIA -- Christ Church Cathedral Elementary will be one of the first schools in the region to fully equip every class room with a Smart Board come Sept 1. 2011. Upgrading from static white boards to the interactive teaching tool is a big step for the small independent school but the benefits are great. Powered by a computer, the curriculum is projected on a screen that empowers teachers and inspires students in a collaborative technology-enabled learning environment. Students are allowed to get up out of their seats to manipulate everything from mathematic problems to scrambled words on the board. It's a hands-on approach that keeps the youngsters involved and engaged like never before. The Smart Board software also allows teachers to share update lesson plans across various grades as they see fit.
