Our beautiful suites are comfortable, private rooms with a variety of conveniences for new families. They are decorated in subtle soft colors with plenty of natural sunlight. As part of our rooming-in-philosophy, babies are kept with their mom throughout their hospital stay. However, should you desire extra rest; our staff is available to care for your newborn. The suites also have a sleeper chair for a support person to stay with mom and baby, a glider, as well as private bathrooms with a walk-in-shower. Each room has a small personal refrigerator, cable television, and a combo DVD/VHS player. Our team is made up of obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, and specially trained staff nurses. Center of Excellenece in Minimally Invasive Gynecology (COEMIG) Gynecological issues are unique to a woman’s world and require specialized care and understanding. Women, who are living with gynecologic issues, now have a Center of Excellence to turn to in Stephens County. Stephens County Hospital is recognized as an American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery also known as COEMIG. Our team of physicians, highly trained nurses and support staff can help get you back on the road to recovery. The goal of the COEMIG program is to improve patient safety and satisfaction and increase access to minimally invasive gynecologic procedures. These procedures routinely lead to better patient outcomes and shorter recovery times – and are often times offered as same-day procedures. All Gynecological surgeries recover in our private suites in our Labor & Delivery Unit.
