Maybe surprisingly “java programmer” is often listed as the best job in the world, or at least in the UK and USA. If you are a java developer this may seem surprising. If you are a javascript or any other kind of developer it may seem surprising too, but there is an argument to be made. So is this just marketing from recruitment firms, or can we make a sensible case for programming in general, and specifically java programming being a great job? Can we figure out which are the best software jobs, or best developer jobs?
