Problems with classical premill Equating the bodily resurrection with the Great White Throne judgement. 1) As pointed out, if not for the resurrection to judgment, the earth would be void of mortal men during the reign of the judges, then when the physical resurrection to judgment takes place, the judges are unemployed. 2) The White Throne is neither a heavenly nor earthly judgment, both have fled away in this judgment at Revelation 20: 11 3) Revelation 20: 12 The dead, not the living, are standing before the throne. Also, those raised are judged according to what they have done. If the works in the books are a record of moral conduct, deeds performed in this age, then there is contradiction with Ephesians 2:8,9; Romans 4:1-5, 1 Cor. 3:15, to name but three of over one hundred passages declaring salvation by faith and not what we have done with respect to a moral code – in the present age of grace. So, if they are judged by their works, those works cannot be from the age of grace. 4) If chapters 20 and 21 are sequential events in Revelation, the eternal state, where death has been abolished, begins after the millennial government. Therefore, an earthly resurrection to mortality has no place in the eternal state. 5) There are mortal nations to be deceived in the premillennial government. As shown, Revelation 19 prohibits the present rebellious nations who appose God in war from simply waltzing into Christ's kingdom untouched. They do not pass from here to there.
