We unpacked a whole bunch of gorgeous Sea Jasper spheres recently, so we decided to revive our live features to show them to you! They come in every color you love in Sea (orbicular) Jasper: green, pink, purple, blue, red, orange, yellow — it's a whole rainbow on our table! We also featured a double-star Rose Quartz sphere, because we HAD to. No choice. It had to be done. Our Sea Jasper comes from our own mine, literally next to the original Ocean Jasper mine where the original material comes from. Some folks have claimed to know the difference, but all of it is really just Orbicular Jasper, a form of chalcedony (sometimes also called Botryoidal Agate). What makes it special are the spherical formations of Quartz. The concentric crystallization is where it gets the orbs, and the colors generally come from the elements around it. Though Orbicular Jasper was only introduced to the market in recent decades, it's thought to have shown up in the work of German collector Richard Baldauf, who collected it from the original Kabamby locality. Our Sea Jasper comes in many more forms than spheres. See them on www.madagascarminerals.com, or contact us: 520-882-8884 / sales@madagascarminerals.com.
