Man Xu plays "Jade". Read and download the score on Notafina https://en.notafina.de/shop/jade.html The Petrushka Project is an unprecedented international live concert and commissioning initiative presented by Schott Music, boasting premieres of 75 solo piano pieces by a wide range of composers around the world. The Project affords a rare and unique opportunity for the infusion of a huge variety of new piano works into the international repertoire. Composers from 26 countries took part in Petrushka Project 2012, and the Project will be continued in the coming years. "The piano piece "Jade" originates from my as yet unpublished songbook "P i a n o C r y s t a l s": this is an "extended version" of the 2-page arrangement included in the songbook. The 32 pieces in "P i a n o C r y s t a l s" are derived from my piano teaching activities and have therefore deliberately been composed in a light structure. The individual movements are named after minerals and healing stones such as "Aventurine", "Hematite", "Sodalite" and "Tourmaline". The complete songbook is intended as an aid to meditation and musical edification as so many people are currently seeking peace and relaxation in today's stressful times. Some are searching for a sense of purpose and meaning of life within esoteric circles and others in religion or nature. It is ultimately up to the individual to establish whether the stars and signs of the zodiac can help him to cope with life and whether he can gain emotional strength through listening to the music of other countries or whether the Chinese horoscope or Indian medicine wheel can show him the right path to take. My primary intention was to utilise my musical material to create pleasant pieces for others to provide an escape from the tension and burdens of professional life."(Jürgen Moser) Learn more about Moser at https://en.schott-music.com/shop/auto...
