I did a little investigating and discovered there is a BIG difference in the quality of MC4 connectors. They all pretty much look the same on the outside, but it’s what inside that matters (I know, sounds like a Hallmark Card). Seriously, I compared two MC4 connectors and found that one had THREE TIMES more copper in the connecting pins than the cheap Amazon MC4 connector! Hmm.. wonder which one has more resistance and which one is safer? The good news through all this is I discovered STAUBLI MC4 Connectors.
