MLIE Meet Ups: Assessing Multilinguals in the Mainstream Classroom

Facilitated by: Patience Montgomery and Deborah Perrin A Welcome Back Meet Up! What tools and resources are used to assess multilingual learners in the mainstream classroom? What challenges / opportunities do they present? MLIE will facilitate a discussion around this important topic. The ECIS MLIE committee’s role is to provide a forum where educators can learn about, discuss and reflect on best practice in the field of additional language acquisition and home language development. Our intention is to inspire school communities to nurture the linguistic and cultural identities of their students in order to create successful multilingual, multi-literate global citizens.
