As November ticks away, winter begins to settle into western New Hampshire! In this video, we work together to aerate, and spread wood ash on a new-to-us hay field in Washington! Wood ash is a great and sustainable soil amendment that raises pH while also boosting available potassium, which is vital for strong forage growth! We source our wood ash from RMI here in New Hampshire, and their website is: https://www.rmirecycles.com/ As with many of our field improvement efforts, the equipment we are using would not be attainable for us if not for Cheshire County Agricultural Extension. We are grateful for their partnership and dedication to supporting local small farms and regenerative agriculture! For more information on the valuable resources they provide (including equipment rental for local farms) please see: https://www.cheshireconservation.org/ Please feel free to comment, and we welcome positive and negative feedback. We are advocates of knowledge sharing in the agricultural community, and constructive comments are welcome. Please like, subscribe, and share @MooseRunFarm with a friend as we are trying to grow the farm and the channel! #newhampshire #farming #regenerativeagriculture #farmlife #trending #agriculture #kubota #recycle #haymaking #diy #farmequipment #kidsvideo
