With most of the rides closed on our visit in late November (except Thomas Land), the price of entry into Drayton Manor is a bit more reasonable when you only want to visit the zoo. Unlike the other theme parks we've visited, the only "big" animal at the park is the Sumatran tiger. Other nice mammal species include fishing cat, lynx and tapir. Most of the mammal enclosures are old and dated, but the tamarin area is newer and looks nice. The highlight of the zoo was the reptile house, with some nice and unusual species such as the giant and flame bellied zonures. Would recommend visiting when they offer cheaper entry late November/early December, although the weather can be hit and miss around this time,
