The “end game” among Labor MPs is bringing Treaty and Indigenous Voice to fruition, Sky News host Peta Credlin says. “This issue, despite all the Australian states voting against the Voice, it’s very clear Labor’s end game is still a Treaty ... despite the wholesale rejection,” Ms Credlin said. The Voice to Parliament referendum would have been a group of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representatives chosen to offer advice to the government on laws and policies which affect them. The Voice would have been about ensuring they have a say in said matters. The Opposition opposed the Voice as Liberal Leader Peter Dutton said it would divide Australians by race, with over 60 per cent of Australians voting ‘No’ in the referendum for an Indigenous advisory body.
