A breast implant removal surgery happens when a patient wants to remove their current breast implants that they got during a breast augmentation or during a breast reconstruction procedure. During a breast implant removal surgery, if an implant ruptured there may have to be some silicone material that is removed as well as the scar tissue which is the breast implant capsule that forms after the placement of a breast implant which can be calcified.
