Amidst nationwide lockdown in the country, a shameful incident of Mob lynching was reported from Maharashtra's Palghar district. the district is adjacent to Mumbai. defying lockdown a mob of 100-150 people came out armed with sticks and rods and thrashed three people to death on the suspicion of being thieves. There was a rumour doing rounds that some robbers had come to the village to steal kidneys especially of children and since then the villagers had begun the round the clock vigil. The police had also made an arrest in the case.
