USAID SAFE community-based volunteers (CBVs) are an integral component of providing health services to people living with HIV and achieving the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets. USAID SAFE has trained more than 1,200 CBVs who have provided HIV testing, treatment, and adherence support to more than 300,00 Zambians living with HIV. Peter Njovu is one of those volunteers. Join Peter for a day as he supports members of his community to get tested and stay on treatment. USAID SAFE: Supporting an AIDS-Free Era Program, implemented by JSI, works to reduce HIV mortality, morbidity, and transmission, while improving nutrition outcomes and family planning integration, in three provinces with the highest burdens of HIV in Zambia: Central, Copperbelt, and North-Western.
