While cruising with the Costa Smeralda, (one of the world's largest cruise ships), we stopped in the port of Palermo on Sicily. There, I did something I haven't done in quite a while: a ship sponsored excursion! We met early in the morning to take a chartered bus to the other side of the island and visit the fantastic Mondello Beach.
