How are things going and what can we tell you to expect if you choose to try to free range your rabbits? Find out in the video. Rabbits will want to eat greenery as soon as it starts coming up - and that may well mean many of your favorite things - including flowers. You will have to fence them off to keep the rabbits out. Do not rely on companion planting guides that say that onion or garlic will repel rabbits. Our rabbits ate all of our garlic down to the ground. The good news is that our cost for feed has dropped to almost nothing. Feed is a recurring cost, so that is great. Fencing is a 1-time cost, but more expensive than a bag of feed - so perhaps it will be hard for you to incur the cost of the fencing directly up front. The bad news is that we have not seen any new rabbits yet. There has been time for 2 kiddings, but we haven't seen any. This is not a huge issue for us, so we are happy to let things keep going along and see what develops later.
