Our e-speed is facing an extraordinary challenge: A dual-cavity mould for 1L pails with reduced wall thickness and IML shows what our fastest hybrid packaging machine is capable of. The ingenious mould of BRINK Moulds & Automation reduces the part weight by 20% to a mere 30g, thus saving costs and minimizing the impact on the environment. Moreover, the labels consist of the same material as the pail, adding to the overall rigidity and making recycling of the used product as easy as possible. The impressive results: stable production of packaging goods with an extreme flowpath-wallthickness ratio of 500:1 and perfect integration of IML automation with a cycle time of under 5 seconds. Production costs are further reduced by the intelligent drive layout of our hybrid e-speed: a hydraulic accumulator guarantees highest possible dynamics and injection speed while all other main movements are electric-driven. The icing on the cake is a kinetic buffering system effectively cutting current peaks to save even more on energy and installation costs.
