Welcome back to another Outdoor Intrigue adventure, exploring Lochnagar and the White Mounth Munros in the Cairngorms! Join both Ben and Megs for a beautifully still and chilly late winter / early spring wild camp. Steeped in folk lore, history and beauty, we explore five new Munros on the Balmoral estate in the Cairngorms, enjoying uncharacteristically calm weather on a summit camp over 1,000m. For this fast and light adventure, Ben used the Bonfus Iterus 38L pack and Megs is using the Hyperlight Mountain Gear Southwest 2400. We took the Hilleberg Allak 2 and Meg's continues to test out the Rab Alpine 600 sleeping bag for a review coming to the channel later this Spring. As the route involved no technical ice climbing or ridge walks, we used the Kahtoola KTS micro crampons, to save weight and stay safe in the mountains. Join us as we talk lightweight gear, hiking, camping and all things outdoors in a stunning Scottish setting.
