My FAVORITE species!! - Brook Trout in a Mountain Lake

Spent a half day fishing for Brook Trout and other species at the beautiful "Silver Lake" in Utah. This beautiful mountain lake proved to have very successful fishing with hardly any pressure from other fishermen. It was a decent hike, but totally doable and worth it. We started on fly rods, but as the night was closing in on us, we decided to switch to spinner rods to ensure we didn't go home empty handed. It really wasn't until close to sunset that we started really getting lots of action! Between the three of us, we probably caught around 10 fish, which was plenty! The stunning scenery and gorgeous sunset was just icing on the cake. Spinners were the lures that were doing the trick for us, but I'm sure there are other methods that would prove to be just as good (if not better). On the hike back, we saw a BIG moose about 10 yards away from us! That was pretty terrifying, but we just kept walking and nothing happened. Anyways, next time I go back, I want to spend more time fly fishing!
