Demoing The Kai Wa’a: Vela!!

Demoing the Kai Wa’a Vela!! Big thanks to Uncle Jim for letting me borrow the vela before I go outta country! Today Christoph and I went out into Kailua Bay and surfed for a bit, then decided to go upwind towards bird-crap island, headed back towards the bay, went over to flat island to surf a bit more, then headed back to wash off the boats! My Vela Review: I really enjoyed using this canoe out in the bay, it is really a great boat but that’s just because of my preference with it. What makes me feel that way about this canoe is because it’s doing everything it’s supposed to, it’s good in the surf and the flat. I did have a bit of trouble paddling it on the side swell, but I think that was just because of the paddler (me). But I have nothing bad to say about this canoe, I love the way it glides down the bumps and it doesn’t fail to give me adrenaline while paddling on it! It’s a fun boat that I’d definitely wanna use again. Mahalo for watching!
