If your cat gets a ringworm, you should first isolate her and treat her properly. 3. Feline Stomatitis Feline stomatitis is an inflammation of a cat's mouth. If your cat has a bad breath,can't stop drooling,or keeps her mouth open, she may have stomatitis. If stomatitis is detected at an early stage,it can be treated with med or scaling. But if found late,it's necessary to remove her teeth. 4. Feline Panleukopenia Feline panleukopenia is a contagious disease of cats caused by parvovirus. It is most common in kittens with weakened immune systems. Common signs are loss of appetite, lethargy, and vomiting. Feline panleukopenia can spread to cats easily and is fatal. But it can be prevented with vaccination. Stray kittens may have feline panleukopenia. If you think of taking a stray kitten home where you live with a cat, be sure to have a medical check up. 5. Cystitis Cystitis is inflammation of the bladder. It can be caused by bacterial infection. But in most cases, you may not know the cause. Common signs are a foul odor, increased frequency of urination, and blood in urine. As the signs are related to urination, you need to check cat litter regularly. Most cats often mask signs of illness. It’s hard to notice their illness at an early stage at home. So, regular check-ups and vaccinations are very important.
