#CrimeCamNow On July 14, 2023, the Chamblee Police Department received alerts from road cameras about a vehicle driving with a stolen dealer tag in Chamblee, Georgia. Officers quickly located the vehicle. Before any questions were asked, the driver immediately admitted she knew why she had been stopped, it was about her tag. She explained that she had just received a text from the tag’s owner, who informed her that he had sold the company and the tag was no longer valid. She claimed she had her own tag inside the car but hadn’t transferred it yet and was about to go to the DMV to resolve the issue. The driver, who was apologetic, said she was new to Georgia, having recently moved from New York, and was still trying to figure out how things worked in the state.
