Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe for more great content from ECS Tuning! If you have an OEM Spoiler, you’ll want to remove it. Make sure your trunk is clean and clear of any residue. Using isopropyl alcohol is a great way to clean the surface. Just remember that it will remove any wax or coatings on the paint and it will need to be reapplied after you install the spoiler. Set the spoiler onto the trunk. Make sure it is centered. You’ll want approximately a quarter inch of paint showing on each side of the trunk. Once centered, you will need to tape the right, left and center of the spoiler to the trunk with the masking tape. This will provide a hinge effect that will allow you to peel the 3M adhesive and set the spoiler down in the exact spot you wanted. Use about 4-5 pieces on each side of the spoiler. In the center, use longer pieces of masking tape. As you hinge the spoiler, the arc is a greater distance from the trunk, so the longer pieces keep them from coming off. You’re now ready to remove the 3M adhesive. Remember, you only get one chance so be sure the spoiler is exactly where you want. Hinge the spoiler up and peel back the 3M adhesive on the bottom, then the top. Slowly, bring the spoiler down onto the trunk and press firmly for 30 - 60 seconds. Work your way down to each end, pressing firmly against the spoiler. That’s it. An easy install that adds an attractive, yet highly effective, aesthetic upgrade.
