Lumpini Park is one of the largest green spaces in Central Bangkok. This beautiful inner-city park spans over 500,000 sq m. Founded in the 1920s, it's become a popular gathering spot for Bangkok residents and visitors. The park was originally a royal reserve, but in 1925 Rama VI declared it a public space. Lumpini Park is home to various flora and fauna. Known as ‘the green lung of Bangkok’, Lumpini Park is a great way to take a break from the city’s bustle and relax for a few minutes or enjoy a whole day amid the greenery. Park's 58 hectares are home to an artificial lake surrounded by broad, well-tended lawns, wooded areas, walking paths. If you want to ride along with your significant other in a giant swan, here’s your chance! Rowboats are also an option. Lumpini Park's onsite facilities include a basketball court, playgrounds, indoor and outdoor gym and swimming pool.
