Greetings everyone!! Here's an extremely fun collab between myself and my good irl friend Maddie!! You've seen her on occasion in some of my meps, she doesn't have a Youtube channel at the moment, as she's focusing on her art career and other life matters. But we made this for fun!! Recently she introduced me to the land of Tolkin, and my god it is glorious. She and myself have a bit of a crush on Elves XD. Specifically this fab boy, Thranduil, King of Mirkwood. There is a small story behind the song meaning with him here. So I'll explain for those of you who may not be into the fandom. "Well, your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya..." Thranduil had a wife at one time, who passed away while his son Legolas was still young. Possibly protecting her child, though from what we are unsure. What we do know is that she is dead. And for elves this is more than a heartbreak. As Elves are so attached to their emotions they can even die from a heartbreak. Despite their immortal lives they die two ways, from emotional pain or battle. "And I've seen your flag on the marble arch And love is not a victory march It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah..." So throughout the films we wonder why Thranduil wants these white gems, it's because he desired them for his wife. Who passed before he could gift them to her, let alone trade them from the Dwarves. In the end he wanted to go to war over them. Believing they were the only thing his wife had left him. Forgetting about his own son in many ways. "Well, maybe there's a God above But all I've ever learned from love Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya And it's not a cry that you hear at night It's not somebody who's seen the light It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah..." Thranduil's cold nature is because of how much he blocked his own emotions to stay alive. In the end almost losing his relationship with his son for blocking him out. They do make it up, but by then Legolas takes his leave for the events of Lord of the Rings. I hope you all enjoy! Please comment, like, and Subscribe for more content. I wish to post more often but I'm afraid school and life get the better of me. XD Cannot wait for more videos to come! Any song suggestions with lotr, Hobbit, orcas, or other fandoms you've seen me use? I'd love to hear them! For the meantime, boe i 'waen... Novaer!
