Post-Digital Development Project Sept 16 2022 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Then Triumph features a hand-made tape loop playing in a 4-track cassette recorder, paired with soprano saxophone. The piece is roughly in the key of E quarter sharp, with the harmony following this tuning as well. The melodies are based off the equal tempered triad of E 1/4#, but meander through non-tempered scales and side-stepping. The tracks on the tape are: 1. Saxophone key percussion amplified by a contact mic 2. Gated vocal drone on the Onde Magnétique by ‪@scttcmpbll‬ 3. Gated flute melody on the Onde Magnétique 4. Harmonized electromagnetic signal from the MT50 motor In the video, I'm experimenting with a (very) budget friendly lay flat recording setup, as well as incorporating B reel footage.
