What a crazy travel day as we leave the coastal town of Hopkins in Belize and continue heading south towards La Ceiba in Honduras. Things don't quite go according to plan - which happens quite often in Central America. We take a chicken bus to Punta Gorda located at the south of Belize and take a boat over to Puerto Barrios in Guatemala. We stay in a lovely hostel there called El Castillo before getting an early shuttle to the town of La Ceiba in Honduras - Country number 18 for TREAD the Globe. We were aiming to get the boat across to the island of Utila however travel days don't always go according to plan !!
