Question to the Transport Secretary on yet another HS2 Delay

I have always opposed HS2. Over the last Parliament and this one I have consistently highlighted the projects poor governance, bad decision making and wider failings. The announcement today that we are to live in misery for even longer is deeply troubling - so I challenged the Transport Secretary on this and on the failing to actually deliver promised mitigation. ~ I have written to her Ministers so many times, it is unfathomable that she asked me to write again, but I will nonetheless. If the Government must persist with this nonsensical railway, the least they can do is acknowledge the human misery it brings us and give us a firm timetable and the compensation we deserve.
