http://www.adorama.com The goal with all still photography is to use your creativity to make pictures that capture perspectives people have never before seen—perspectives that are enlightening, fresh, tell stories and make people say “Wow!” In this episode of Getting the Shot with Corey Rich, the photographer and director explores the creative process of finding those unexpected angles while dissecting a still photograph he captured during a recent commercial shoot for Mazda, in which the featured vehicle raced on a dirt road alongside two nationally ranked Canadian whitewater kayakers. By brainstorming the situation in advance of the action, and pre-determining everything from the focus to the focal length, shutter speed and aperture setting, Rich solved the technical problems in advance of making the picture. Now it’s a matter of using the tools at your disposal, whether that means strapping the camera to a Kessler Crane Pocket Jib PRO, or a monopod, or even a 2x4, if that’s all you have. The point is to be creative, be resourceful, think ahead, and capture that unique perspective that makes people say, “Wow!” Related Products at Adorama: Nikon D4s http://www.adorama.com/INKD4S.html Kessler Pocket Jib Pro http://www.adorama.com/KESCJ1016.html Nikon Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8 AF-S Zoom Lens http://www.adorama.com/NK1424AFSU.html Pocket Wizard Plus III http://www.adorama.com/PWP3T2.html Manfrotto 681B Black Monopod http://www.adorama.com/BG681B.html Check out Adorama's latest contest here for great prizes!: http://www.adorama.com/AdoramaU Like, share, and comment on the video below...let's get the conversation started!
