The compressor is a Bristol reciprocating compressor, made in USA. Model number H23A383ABCA Part number 703027-06-0732 Serial number 06495022282 (can anyone decrypt a date code from this number?) The locked rotor amps is 97 the amps!!! The fan motor is an Emerson, made in USA. Model number K55HXFJG-3402 Part number 8106-029 1,075 RPM, 1/2 HP, 3.5 amps 3 speed, though the unit only has a 2 speed control. There is very little difference in the fan speeds, I wonder if it's wired to high and medium instead of high and low. It's only a class A motor. Class A insulation is good up to 40 degrees C, or 104 degrees F. I don't know how this works, the ambient temperature entering that unit can certainly exceed 104 degrees on a hot day in the sun.
