The Alachigh is an Iranian tent form, the most elegant of all rib tents. This movie shows the creation of a new concept in tent making that builds on nomadic tent forms, with the focus on resolving some of the traditional problems of this tent, yet without resorting to prefabricated approach. The Giant Alachigh was made for the Alachigh company by tent makers Spirits Intent, as a first in a series of extinct, threatened or disappearing nomadic tent forms, an attribute for nomadic architecture and the life's work of Peter Alford Andrews who studied and documented them. The giant Alachigh uses a 30 rib unlike the traditional ones who skipped from 28 ribs to 32 ribs for the largest ever made.
