Issue: The trunk will no longer open with the remote or the trunk release switch when the trunk is closed or almost closed. When the trunk is fully open, the actuator will work with the remote and the switch. However, if you trunk is halfway closed or almost closed, the remote and the switch will not work. Fix: After testing the trunk latch actuator, it was not the issue. All function of the actuator was okay. The issue was a open short on the ground wire which was located near the trunk latch hinge. Once the damaged wire was fixed, everything was fixed.
