LANE FOLLOWING ASSIST, or LFA, helps keep the vehicle in the center of the lane while driving. LFA monitors various inputs, such as lane markers and vehicles in front, and can adjust the steering to help keep the vehicle in the center of the lane. Select Kia models have HANDS-OFF WARNING. If the driver takes their hands off the Steering Wheel for a few seconds, a warning message will appear on the Instrument Cluster. After several seconds, a warning will sound, and LFA will cancel. To ENABLE LFA, briefly press the LANE DRIVING ASSIST button on the steering wheel. A gray LFA Indicator will appear on the Instrument Cluster when LFA is active. It will remain gray if LFA does not detect lane markers. When LFA detects the lane markers and can provide steering assistance, the LFA Indicator will illuminate green. Pressing the LANE DRIVING ASSIST button again turns off LFA. To adjust the WARNING METHOD settings for driver assistance systems, under DRIVER ASSISTANCE, select the speaker icon or WARNING METHOD. Here you can change the Warning Volume, which will change the volume for other driver assistance systems as well. Selecting “Haptic Warning” activates the steering wheel vibration warning on certain driver assistance systems. “Lane Safety Audible Warning Off” turns off the audible warning for Lane Safety features. “Driving Safety Priority” lowers all other audio volume when the Driving Safety system sounds a warning. Parking Safety Priority lowers all other audio volume when the Parking Assist view is active. For additional information, refer to your Owner’s Manual. You can also go to the Kia Features and Functions Videos YouTube channel or the Kia Features and Functions Quick Reference Guide. Thanks for watching.
