I finally played Elden Ring for the first time… and instead of learning the controls like a normal human, my friend convinced me to fight the Tree Sentinel immediately. You know. The massive golden knight on a horse. The one clearly designed to humble new players. So there I am, brand new to Elden Ring, barely understanding the menus… while my friend is in co-op watching me get flattened over and over again. Sometimes “helping.” Mostly laughing.
